Morals and Ethics

What will the subject enable me to do?

Morals and Ethics enables students’ to consider and respond to a range of important questions related to their own spiritual development, the development of values and attitudes and fundamental questions concerning the meaning and purpose of life. It helps promote pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and prepares our students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of the present and the future helping to overcome prejudices and negative stereotypes. If people have a better understanding of other faiths, they are less likely to be dismissive of issues that do not concern them directly. Better still, it promotes integration and a stronger sense of community.
