The Quarrydale Ambassadors are a group of students dedicated to raising awareness of mental health and LBGTQ+ issues and providing a support network for students in the academy affected by these issues. Established in 2017, the scheme is still in its infancy, but we are looking forward to the first whole school Pride Day on the 30th November, when all students will have the opportunity to celebrate their proudest moments or achievements and contribute to fund raising efforts. This event is scheduled to coincide with Rainbow Laces Week, a national initiative that encourages diversity in sports.
The Ambassadors have weekly meetings on Wednesdays, 12.00 – 12.30 in F25, and we welcome new members from all year groups, genders, shapes, sizes, ethnicities, orientations and religions. Come along if you’re curious!
